私たちは、光が空間にもたらす温度や時間を大切にしながら、照明を制作する小さなスタジオです。

「アンバイ（anbay）」という名前は、日本語の「塩梅（あんばい）」に由来しています。
強すぎず、弱すぎない。
主張しすぎず、埋もれもしない。
その場や人、時間に応じて自然に整えられた、ちょうどよい加減。
私たちは、照明にもそのような存在であってほしいと考えています。

向き合っているのは、素材と意図。
時とともに表情を深める真鍮、空気をやわらかく満たす光、そして、かたちと機能の静かな均衡。
照明は、ただ空間を照らすものではなく、そこに流れる時間や気配をそっと支える存在であってほしいのです。

すべての照明は受注生産で、一点一点丁寧に仕立てています。
使い手の暮らしや空間のリズムに寄り添いながら、長く使うほどに愛着が増していくものを。

素材、光、空間、そして塩梅。
その重なりの中で、私たちは静かに心に残る灯りをつくり続けています。

We are a small studio that creates lighting while cherishing the warmth and sense of time that light brings to a space.

The name anbay comes from the Japanese word anbai, meaning balance or the right measure.
Not too strong, not too weak.
Neither imposing nor fading into the background.
We believe lighting, like anbai, should find its place naturally—shaped by people, space, and time.

What we work with are material and intention.
Solid brass that grows richer with age, light that gently fills the air, and a quiet balance between form and function.
Lighting is not merely to illuminate a space, but to softly support the atmosphere and the moments within it.

Each piece is made to order, carefully crafted one by one.
By staying close to the rhythm of everyday life and individual spaces, we create lighting that deepens in character the longer it is used.
